cw. mdni + afab!reader + he eats you out + no thoughts no nothing my clit wrote this, goodnight!
for some reason jing yuan hasn't stopped running his goddamn tongue over your clit for the past thirty minutes. you're lying there. tits out, pussy on display and your lips swollen from so much biting (and a make out session that he'd teased you criminally with for who knows how long).
"a- are you not satisfied yet?" you can barely whisper, your throat dry and your vision blurry from the edging. "i wanna cum, yuan," you whine softly, throwing your arms over your face—either to muffle out how pathetic you sound or to hide how fucked out your expressions are from just your lover's tongue.
"you amuse me, beloved,” he chuckles, voice hoarse as your wetness coats his chin. “earlier you admitted that you were in need of some assistance down here—” he licks a long stroke upwards on your bud and it makes your thighs close around his head instinctively. “—and how could i refuse my darling little sparrow?” he lowers his head again, letting his tongue roll over your bud again, keeping a sharp eye on how your mouth opens and closes, mewls spilling from your lips.
earlier you claimed that you were in need of attention… a different type of attention. one where jing yuan would need to be slotted right in between your legs in order to placate the feral feeling. he remembered how you waved your hands offhandedly, desperately trying to conceal how you needed him by shrugging it off. you didn’t want to burden him with something trivial like this! it’s not like you can’t do it by yourself (as you have done for yourself, plenty of times).
however, when jing yuan listened to your reasoning, he couldn’t help but lock in on the way your lips moved, the way your eyes darted to all corners of the bedroom, the way you played with the tips of your fingers. you poor little thing… you were just nervous to ask for his help! so with a little kiss on your forehead, and one chaste kiss on your lips, he gently coaxed you onto your shared bed. his hand caresses comforting circles on the small of your back while his other hand rises to push some hair strands away from your face.
“look at how radiant you are before me, beloved mine, you need but simply ask for my assistance whenever it is required,” he had told you tenderly, adoration dripping in his tone as he observed your expression—an expression heated in the cheeks, slightly embarrassed by his wording but the relief that sparkled in your eyes was a no brainer to the general.
you can only huff a pant and a small ‘okay’ as his sturdy hands keep your thighs open for him, licking the velvet of your folds, allowing you to enjoy the high of it before reaching your peak.

And they were Roommates (Part 20)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: there is.. SO MUCH happening in this chapter like.. Even i was overwhelmed. here it is my darling.
WARNINGS: mention of death.
The team was a mess. You had immediately driven back to the base, Kate meeting you there. A team was gathered with the squad to find any clues. You were sitting at your desk, viewing every single camera on the base trying to find a hint. You had a feeling they were alive. Your anxiety was making a mess out of you. You were nauseous.
"Y/N."
You turned your head to Kate. The firm and stern look on her face betrayed her own anxiety.
"Hopkins is here."
You got up, following her out. The squad were right outside the door.
"Kate." Price said.
"We're meeting Hopkins." She informed.
"Very well. I'm sending Soap with you, I have to brief the team you got me."
She nodded soap hurrying up to you. He stood, sharing glances with Simon, a hint of a nod sent to each other. He had orders from Simon to remain with you. You knew it. He was worried too. Worried about the girl's and worried about you. It had crushed you already to lose him a little over a month ago.
If you were honest with yourself, you didn't know how to feel. You were broken. They meant so much to you. A part of you was in denial, trying to convince you that it wasn't what it seemed. That they were ok. That Eric didn't take them.
Because it was obvious to you. It was Eric. Walking to the meeting room you felt your anger rise. The doors opened and the view of the general was enough to make you snap.
"You incompetent asshole!" You let out.
Soap was taken aback. He let a 'damn…" under his breath.
"Sparrow, I would like to remind you that one of my men is dead." He answered in an angry tone.
"It wouldn't have happened if literally any FUCKING criminal wasn't able to get into this high security base like a fucking candy store!"
"Sparrow, calm down." Kate tried.
You took a deep breath soap trying to pat your shoulder. You turned to him, his little scaredy look made you calm down a bit.
"Listen. We're doing everything to find them and discover what happened. We got all hands on deck." Hopkins countered.
"You better fucking be."
"Sparrow. Our priority is to find them. To find the girls but to also catch Sergeant Eric."
You frowned, something was telling you that he had other goals in this story.
"What are you hiding?" You asked, crossing your arms.
"Excuse me?"
"Don't even try to fucking lie to me."
He stood silent.
"What did they promise you? What price did they put on Eric's head?"
"It's not-"
"You make me sick."
"A little over dramatic sparrow." He stated.
"No! Literally. You make me sick…"
"What..?" Soap asked, confused.
"I have to throw up…"
You felt absolutely horrible. You could feel the nausea. It was so sudden. You spun around running for the door, hoping to reach the bathroom on time.
"Sparrow! What?!" You heard Kate.
You were already out the door. You could hear soap running after you in the hallway. Barely making it to the bathroom, you swing the door open before dropping to your knees feeling your stomach clench. God… you hated to throw up. The burning sensation, the lingering taste. Two hands wrapped around your hair, lifting it up. Looking up for a split second you threw a thankful look at soap before another fit of nausea hit you.
"Are you ok? Shit Y/N…" soap worried.
Another person ran in, you heard it but you couldn't look behind. The voice was very recognizable though.
"What happened? Kate told me to get a water bottle and come here… Y/N are you throwing up?"
"No bishop… I'm trying to find Nemo…"
You didn't need to see her to know she had rolled her eyes. She chuckled behind you.
"John, are you alright? You look terrified." She teased.
"She's throwing up… why is she throwing up? LT is going to murder me…"
You let out a very weak laugh.
"Did you make her throw up?" She kept teasing.
"What?! No! I think Hopkins did!"
"What?" Margo asked, confused as well now.
"Yeah she said he made her sick!"
"I don't think he actually made her sick John…"
"Guys…" you interrupted.
Bishop walked closer wrapping her hand around your hair, placing the cool water bottle at the back of your neck. You yelped at the cold feeling, but it soothed you.
"You alright?" She asked.
"I think so…"
You opened your closed eyes, sitting back. You heard her flush, thankful for not having to do it, you'd probably puke again if you had to look. You felt a soft wind on your face, opening your eyes to Bishop fanning you with some file.
"Thank you Margo…" you whined.
"No problem, love. You ate something bad?" She asked.
"I think… I think it's the stress. It's been a wreck for the past few hours." You tried.
"You haven't rested… have you eaten something? It's pretty late…" she checked her watch, wincing. "Come on, let's get you up."
Soap scrambled behind you, helping you up with Margo and walking you to the sink. You washed your face, gurgling to try to erase the awful taste lingering on your tongue. Bishop handed you the fresh water bottle.
"Are you alright?"
You met Soap's eyes in the mirror. You smiled at him, throwing a small nod.
"Could you please call price… tell him to finish the meeting with Hopkins and Kate?" You tried.
"Yeah yeah yeah…"
You smiled, turning to look at bishop. You melted at the soft look she sent the man dialing on his phone. Meeting your gaze she winked before wrapping her arms around you.
"Sergeant ?" You heard.
He had but it on high speaker.
"Huh captain. Could you finish the meeting?"
"Finish the meeting? What happened?"
"Hum… Hopkins made her sick…"
"Soap!" You and bishop countered.
"Sergeant, what?"
"Y/N threw up, I'm with her and bishop."
"She what?!" Another voice called.
Fuck…
"I'm fine! I'm ok! It's probably just stress. Simon.."
"Alright. I'll get on with the meeting, lieutenant take care of the brief. Soap, get to the brief."
You heard a faint 'pass it over' on the other side before soap turned off the high speaker and passed the phone to you.
"Simon…" you started.
"Are you alright?"
"I'm fine really… it's just the stress… the anxiety…"
"Baby. I'll find them. Rest."
"Simon…"
"Get one of the rooms and rest. Baby please…"
"What if something happens?"
"You'll be the first to know. I'll make sure."
"Alright…"
"Good girl… I love you."
"I love you…"
Handing the phone over to soap you heard bishop chuckle in your ear. Soap nodded both your ways, throwing a wink at bishop before running out the door.
"Come on let's get you to rest."
"You heard?..."
"I'm literally standing right next to you. Come on baby" she teased.
It had been a few hours. Kate had asked to prepare some meeting room for you and the team. Computers were set messily around the room where everyone kept typing. You were sitting on a pile of pillows and blankets dropped on a giant bean bag. It irritated you. Being treated like a little doll. Tiredness was screaming otherwise. You sat with your laptop on your lap. Riley laid down next to you. His protectiveness increased in the last few days.
Two things had been uncovered. Firstly, it was Eric. You could clearly see on the video cameras. Secondly, they had left the base already. To your luck, he had only left the base a few hours before you discovered the body, probably realizing that you'd all find it strange. Everyone had switched to a bigger circle of search.
Hopkins had sent pictures to all airports, bus stations, train stations and police stations.
You didn't rest. How could you? Time kept ticking, the more it ticked the less chances you got to find them. Snacks were brought to you, some take-out food that you had very quickly downed, not realizing how hungry you were. The nausea came and went, thankfully not bringing you down to your knees again.
"Got it!!"
You jumped at Coyote's voice. Liz brought everyone's attention to her screen, a camera pointing to an old decrepit motel, two figures and a child entering one of the rooms.
"Send location to Hopkins and local cops." You ordered, trying to stand.
"Already on it." Grim added.
It took five minutes for the boys to get to the conference room. Simon had immediately rushed to you, holding you close.
"Simon…" you whispered to him.
"I'm right here. Whatever happens. I'm here."
It wasn't anxiety anymore. It was something much worse. A heavy sword seemed to linger over your head, ready to slam down on you. Eternity stretched through the seconds, silence and heartbeats filling the room. Hushed breaths, and hugs around. Price held Liz close to her, bishop nested in soap's arms as grim's small body was engulfed in a big bear hug by Konig. Gaz remained close to Richard and Aquila. Kate remained close, hawk gaze watching everyone.  Everyone was turned to the wall where a projector showed the current operations on field.
You couldn't breathe. The only thing echoing was the few operation calls and orders the cops were throwing around on the field. The closer they got to the room, the sicker you felt. The sword kept trembling dangerously, threatening to fall. Your hands were fisted in Simon's tactical shirt, his arms tight around you, making sure to trap you in his warmth.
Your heartbeat was deafening to your ears. It crushed the little sanity you were trying to keep. You were unsure if you heard correctly when the news fell. When the captain on the field broke the news. You felt Simon's hand tangling in your hair bringing you to his chest as he kissed the top of your head, the other hand rubbing your back. Your voice was shaking when you repeated the news out loud. Trying to fully grasp the reality.
"She's dead."
And then, the sword fell.
You cried. Yes you did. Silently. Simon had held you the entire time, he hadn't left. The team had gotten back to searching, this time to an obsessive extent. He was still out there. With Amy. You felt like you had no time to grieve. None. Amy was the only thing on your mind. The boys had shifted. Cold gazes and threatening voices. You had never seen them like this. Ever. The rage and anger filled them and Simon was more than restless. When you had let him go he had immediately turned to his gear, getting ready. Riley remained close to you, never leaving your side, but keeping an eye on Simon.
Glances and touches were still shared. Silent comfort and promise. You were glued to your screen. Long gone were the legal ways to track them. Between anger, worry and rage especially against Hopkins, you hated yourself. For not protecting her. For not doing something sooner.
Suddenly you were hungry. Starving. You frowned.
"Y/N… you alright?" Liz asked.
You looked up, now feeling very scrutinized by everyone.
"Y-yeah… I'm just a bit hungry."
Bishop frowned.
"Come on, let's get something to eat. I think we all need it. John, will you come with us?" She said.
You were going to complain, refuse, unfortunately Simon fully agreed. You looked at him, pleading, but he dropped another kiss to your head, before asking you to please go with them. The rest of the team reassured you they wouldn't let go of their objectives. You were finally convinced. Mostly because they were still working. And they deserved something to eat. Heading out with the couple, you followed silently, not participating in the small conversation. Bishop had excused herself while you and soap met with Kate, planning something for everyone to eat, whether it was take-out again or not.
The sun was already rising, now realizing everyone had spent the night awake. Your mind wondered, remembering the first time you and Melissa met. Her warm smile and welcomingness. The gossip, chit chat and movie nights. It brought tears to your eyes. You wanted to crumble again. Cry out, the pain in your chest constricting your breathing. Or.. was it something else? You were having heartburns. You frowned through tears. You brushed it away, mind focusing back on Amy.
Little Amy. She must be terrified. You didn't think he'd hurt her. He'd want to keep her for him. What Melissa had feared was slowly becoming reality, it was up to you and the team to stop it. Get Amy back, and be there for her.
"Hey, sparrow!"
You looked up, seeing bishop. You wiped your tears, walking to her. She grabbed your wrist pulling you behind her, Soap soon following, curious.
Pushing past a door, you looked around.
"Why are we in the bathroom again?" You questioned.
She rummaged through a plastic bag before handing you a box. You read it before gasping. You were going to say something but Soap beat you to it.
"A pregnancy test?! Are you pregnant?"
What? Couldn't be possible. You were on the pill. You shook your head.
"Margo… I'm on the pill… I can't…"
"Are you sure? Didn't miss a day? I recognize the signs I have a kid."
"No..no… I took it . Even…"
You froze. Did you? When you had received the news of Simon's death. When you had given up on working or when you had met them on field. Did you take it? Now doubt settled in. Heading towards the stalls you questioned yourself. Through the whole test you tried to remind yourself if you had missed something.
You walked out putting down the test, waiting.
"Listen it's ok."
"No… it's not. Melissa just died. I need to find Amy. We didn't talk about kids with Simon. How will he even react if that test is positive?!"
Panic swept you like a tidal wave. The nausea was back.
"Ok, just breathe Y/N. Whatever happens you are not alone. We are going to find Amy ok? " Margo comforted you.
"Honestly… I don't think Simon will back down. He's not that type of man." Soap added in a serious tone.
"I'm not scared of that johnny… but I don't want to force him into something he doesn't want."
Margo reached for the test, and you looked away. Soap looked down with her.
"What does it mean?" Soap questioned.
You found the courage to look at them, Margo looking up at you.
"It's positive."
Leg bouncing, you kept staring at the screen. Riley put his head on your leg, trying to soothe you. You were so close to getting them. So close. Thoughts kept running around in your head. You'd throw glances at Simon when he wasn't looking. Positive. The test was positive. How could you tell him? Especially right now? You wanted to find Amy and bring her home. That's all you wanted.
"Bunny…"
You shivered, looking up. His hand rose to your cheek, eyes filled with worry.
"You alright?"
You didn't know what to answer. No. You weren't. You were angry, sad, worried… happy. You were feeling too much.
"I'm… tired. I want Amy here." You let out in a whisper.
He dropped to a crouch in front of you, getting to your eye level. He held both of your hands.
"I'm going to find her. I'll bring her to us. I give you my word."
His gaze was intense. Feral. Angry, possessive, determined. You felt yourself melt, but you needed to test the waters.
"We're going to have a kid running around the house."
He took a deep breath.
"Yes we will."
"Simon… this is my responsibility… you don't have to-"
"You think I'll run away? Do you think so low of me?" He looked hurt.
"No! No… it's not what I meant. It's just… we didn't discuss this."
"I don't need to discuss. Amy is as important to me as she is to you." He explained, brushing his thumb across your cheek.
"I'll be there for my princesses."
You smiled. You wanted to tell him. You wanted to. But you were frozen. This was so much already. So much. How could you just let out that he was going to be a father. More than just a father figure to Amy.
"FOUND THEM!"
Both of your heads snapped towards car keys.
"Richard ?!" You yelled.
"Sending location right now!! Grim help me keep track!!"
"I'm on it!"
"I'll get on it too!" Liz added.
"Gear up! Let's go!" Price ordered.
Simon dropped a hurried kiss on top of your head before rushing out. You stood up, you and bishop following them.
Everyone hurried up the stairs, Kate joining near the humvees.
"We got accepted to intervene. Try to get as few casualties as possible and less chaos. Just bring the kid back." Kate explained as the team was finishing up, boys getting in the humvee, Riley following.
Simon brought you to his arms, foreheads connecting.
"Bring her back… please bring her back Simon…"
"I promise. I will."
You smiled at him as he separated.
"Guess I'm gonna have to step up as a father now." He teased, a hint of a smile on his face.
"Oh you already told him?!" Soap rang from the window of the humvee. You frowned before opening your eyes wide.
"Can't fucking WAIT to be an uncle! I mean a pregnant woman and a child around the house is going to be-"
Simon's head snapped back to Soap, eyes wide in shock. You were hyperventilating. Margo hugged your shoulders. Trying to calm you down. Simon turned to you, eyes wide in shock. Soap slowly returned inside of the humvee, pretending to not exist as he realized he fucked up.
"What..?" Simon asked, eyes shifting to your stomach.
You opened your mouth but you froze. What could you say?
"I… I'm going to find Amy." He simply added, turning around before getting into the humvee.
You wanted to cry again. Unsure if you could even do it, after all the crying of the last 16 hours.
"Hey. I'll make sure you guys talk. I won't let him run away."
You turned to price, nodding slightly before he also rushed to the humvee.
Did he hate you? Was he angry? God. Too many life changing events in the couple of hours.
"Come on. Let's get back to the conference room. We got to help them. Take your mind off of it for now."
You took a deep breath, a few tears running down your cheeks. You nodded heading towards the building.
Pacing back and forth you took deep breaths. Your mind tried to rewind through the day's events. Two hours had passed since the boys left. Your friend… was killed. Her daughter was kidnapped. You were now the child's legal guardian. You were pregnant. You were pregnant.
"Oh god…" you let out, letting yourself lean forward on the table.
"Everything's going to be alright…" grim assured you.
"I'm pregnant…" you repeated, more to yourself than anything.
"What?" Car keys asked.
"She's … pregnant." Bishop added.
"Oh my god! That's amazing!" Liz claimed happily.
You looked up. The team was beaming. Smiles and happy expressions surrounded you. Congratulations and warm praises sent your way. Yes. It was good news. Right? Not only will you be Amy's legal guardian, though the circumstances are horrible… but you're going to be a mother.
You wanted Simon. You needed him. You just wanted to see him walk in, Amy in his arms.
"Boy or girl?" Bishop asked.
"Excuse me?" You blinked.
"I say boy!" Car keys added.
"Nah. Girl." Liz added.
"I agree with Liz. Girl." Grim chimmed in.
"Guys…" you tried.
The lighthearted conversation could almost make you forget the horror the last day had been.
"You think we'll have a little sparrow or a little ghost running around?" Grim asked.
A little ghost… a little Simon. The idea made your heart melt. Oh god. You were falling in love with the idea. But you couldn't. Not yet. It was… too early. You couldn't think of it now.
The door slammed open, making everyone jump.
"They're back." Kate announced in a stern voice.
You ran. You flew out the door. The stairs were jumped two by two. You vaguely heard Kate tell you to slow down, that you were going to fall. Fortunately, you didn't. Everyone on the way just stepped away. The sun was almost blinding. The humvee came to a stop, price and gaz hopping out. Soap and Konig followed before finally. Finally. Simon appeared, a small frame in his arms.
You let out something that resembled a cry of relief and pain. Amy saw you, her rosy cheeks soaked with tears. Little arms extended to you. You immediately took her in your arms, holding her close.
"I'm so sorry… so sorry… I'm right here princess." You let out in between hushed cries.
Feeling two arms surround you, you looked at Simon, his eyes stuck on you.
"Thank you…"
His gaze softened.
"I gave you my word."
You smiled up at him, a hint of smile under his mask. The team stood not too far, warm looks and heavy hearts. Simon suddenly tensed.
"You did good captain."
The voice made you freeze. Hopkins. You spun around, still holding the little girl close. You frowned, looking at the woman in a suit next to him. Kate frowned, stepping in front of you.
"General?" She questioned.
"This is Miss Kenneth. She's a social worker for-"
"No." You interrupted. "I have legal guardianship, Amy isn't going anywhere."
Riley growled next to you. Simon grew furious.
"The documents will have to be checked, if you do have guardianship she'll be back in no time." The woman explained with a soft smile that made you sick.
"No. You don't understand." Simon growled. "She's not going anywhere."
"Lieutenant -" Hopkins started.
"Kate. Get me on a meeting with the secretary. Right now."
Was it the pregnancy? The fact you had lost too much. The threat in Hopkins's voice when he called your man's rank? Perhaps the way the little blond curls hugged you tightly, terrified.
"Sparrow."
"No. You're done." You spat.
You walked away, everyone following you, Riley at your side, on alert. You felt incredibly thankful, for the way everyone surrounded you, making sure to shield you and Amy. Simon's hand rested on your lower back, never leaving.
"I'll go get the jeep." Simon whispered into your ear.
You nodded, feeling him walk away. Price and soap followed him, getting their own cars. You stood, waiting, with the rest of the team surrounding you. Amy sniffled in your arms.
"Ma..mama…"
You felt yourself break inside. The little voice filled with hiccups.
"I know… I'm… I'm here my love."
"You… stay?...pwomise?"
"Oh baby. Forever. Me and Simon. I promise."
The black jeep flew into view, before coming to a sudden stop. Two cars following right behind.
"Go home. I'll take care of things here." Kate said, already typing on her phone.
"I'll help. Everyone go." Price added.
You didn't need another word. Simon opened the car as you sat down, Amy still in your arms. Riley jumped in the back before Simon sat back down at the driver's seat.
"We're going home. It's ok darling…" you hushed the little girl.
She sat on your lap, getting her head out of your neck for the first time. The blond curls were tangled, blue eyes filled with tears, rosy cheeks. Her little hand held onto your shirt tightly, as if you were going to vanish. She looked at Simon, as he glanced at her, she extended one of her hands. He gave her his, her hand holding his pinky finger.
You remained like this, driving off and heading home.
The evening was stretching out. The sun was lowering itself in the sky. You sat down in your chair, in the corner of your room, looking at the little girl sleeping in your bed. You had given her a bath, made her eat, soap and bishop had rushed back to Melissa's house getting clothes, toys, and other necessities. The little girl slept soundly, a little raggedy plush in her arms.
You turned your head to the silhouette at the door gaining your attention. Simon stood, mask off, looking at you and the little girl. He has showered too, switching to gray sweatpants and tshirt. He walked to you slowly, taking a seat in your desk chair, making it roll towards you.
"How are you feeling..?" He whispered.
"I… I'm a mess." You answered honestly in a hushed tone.
He grabbed your hand, rubbing it in between both of his.
"I… I still can't wrap my head around the fact that Melissa's gone…"
"I know… it's… it was really sudden."
You wanted to laugh, but you held back, not wanting to wake the child.
"Sudden? Everything was sudden in the past few 24h. Melissa and Amy being kidnapped… Melissa… is gone. I'm… pregnant. Fuck…"
You let your head fall, hand falling over your eyes.
"Hey… breathe. Let's talk this out."
You looked up at him.
"How did it happen? Aren't you on the pill?" He asked.
You frowned.
"I'm not putting the blame. There's no blame. It takes two to make a kid… and it's not like we don't do it…"
Hushed voice were heard, you glanced at the door, gaz and soap waving and looking angrily at Simon. You frowned.
"Hum… they're supposed to be here for morale support.." he whispered, looking confused.
Price appeared in a flash, grabbing the two man by the collar before pulling them back. He reached for the door handle, closing it with a soft smile your way. You bit your lip. You wanted to laugh. You needed a deep breath to finally get your head back into the very serious discussion you were having.
"I forgot about it. My pill, I mean. When… i received the news that… you've been KIA… i kinda broke down for a few days, including the trip on the field."
He listened carefully, still holding your hand. His features seemed to have softened. He did look panicked, although less as you spoke.
"I think… the… bath we took together…" you blushed. You remembered that moment. The love making in the tub, holding each other close. Feeling all the relief to be back together.
"Yeah. Probably." He grinned.
You rolled your eyes softly.
"Listen. My father… was not a good man. He was. Horrible. Abusive."
Your other hand reached his, now holding them together.
"I always thought. I would never be able to be a father. Because I never had a good example. I… was scared." He continued.
"I understand… I don't think you'd be a bad father at all. I see the way you act with Amy… but, what made you change your mind?"
"Price. I realized I did have some kind of father figure example. And… a very good one."
You melted, letting your head fall to the side. One of his hands rose to your cheek, thumb softly caressing the skin.
"I… will do everything, to be a good father. To be the best for you. Amy. And… the baby…"
You felt tears prickle in your eyes.
"I know you will… I trust you with everything."
He smiled. Soft cries made you jolt up, Simon immediately rising to his feet. Turning to the little girl, squirming in her sleep you rushed with him to her side.
"Hey.. hey… monkey, we're here…" you softly hushed her.
Her blue eyes blinked open, already glossy with tears. She extended two little hands towards you and Simon, each of you holding it as you laid down next to her.
"It's alright princess. No one will ever touch you again." Simon murmured to her.
She cuddled up to him as you felt your heart ready to burst. Yes… he'll be an amazing father.
---
ok first of all... i'm sorry
second of all, we are getting dangerously close to the ending... and i would like to thank you guys.

The Price of a Gem
Happy Halloween and Welcome to the last day of Blacktober!
Saying her goodbyes, Sparrow leaves the orphanage and returns to up town of Gotham.
She plots herself on a building siting on an air conditioner unit that overlooks Gotham City. Her fist sat under her chin in thought as she watched bored at the people below.
“You know, if you’re going to stalk me you could at least be more inconspicuous about it.” She said.
Stepping out from the shadows, Batman makes his way over to her sat form and stands to her side. His cloak wrapped around his front, as he looks down at the woman.
Sparrow sighs as she adjusts the collar of her suit.
“How can I help the Batman? I haven’t committed any crimes yet so there’s no need to bother me.”
“You said yet.”
“Exactly. Besides, I’m sure there’s a joker that would be more interested in keeping your attention.” Sparrow cracks her hands and sighs.
“Why did you go into the jewelry store earlier? You set off an alarm, if you stole something then you should-“
“I didn’t steal anything if you must know, nosey. I paid with cash.” She flips her hair over her shoulder, scoffing.
“He set off that alarm because he thought I was going to rob him but I didn’t. The owner just profiled me.” Sparrow says.
“Then why did you go to the Gotham Orphanage?”
“To steal children of course,” she holds out her arms.
“Don’t you see them in my pockets? They need help from the famous Batman.” Sparrow sarcastically said and placed her arms back down.
“I’m not the type of villain where they only think for themselves, I actually have morals you know? Anyway, is there a reason you’re bothering me? I won’t ask again.” She gives him a glare as he sits on the edge of the building, facing her.
“Then tell me who you are. You’re new and since you said that you’re not a criminal, we can be allies.”
“No thanks, I hear your allies find themselves either hurt or killed. It’s best you keep your distance.” She hmphs and waves him away.
Batman frowns at what she said and hums.
“What’s that old saying: the enemy of my enemy is my friend, correct? There’s no need for the hostility.”
“No hostility. I just don’t need to interact with you.”
“If you commit a crime, then I have no choice but to interact with you.”
“Then mind your business.” She shrugs.
“Okay, this is getting no where so,” she suddenly stands up and jumps off the building.
Batman watches her go and grits his jaw, Sparrow waves him off with a two finger salute and stretches the cloth under her arms.
They flapped out into wings and the woman is now gliding off through the buildings, Batman watches on and makes a note of her, she can now fly.
Unbeknownst to her, Batman was able to grab a loc of her hair and rubbed the strand between his fingers. He pressed a finger on the side of his cowl.
“Alfred, I need you to check a sample of hair that I obtained. I’m heading back to the Batcave now.“ He said and walks over to the fire escape.
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Back in her home, Sparrow placed her mask on her desk and held up a piece of fabric, a particular fabric that seemed very difficult to buy.
Sparrow had grabbed a piece of Batman’s cape and held it up to her face in thought. Such material was too expensive and only a selected few could afford to buy it.
Loud vibration is heard on her desk and she looked down to see who it was, a sigh leaving her lips but picking it up and answering it.
“Hello?”
“Are you still coming to Aunt Annie’s house on Saturday? She’s having the wake for Uncle Lindel there.” The person on the other line speaks.
Sparrow sighs again.
“Fine, I’ll be there. What time does it start?”
“It’s start at 11. And please don’t be late.” They beg and Sparrow rolls her eyes.
“I am never late to anything, you’re the one that’s always late. I’ll see you then, bye.” Sparrow hangs up the phone and sighs again.
“So annoying. Now then,” she walks over to the scanner that sat on the desk, a little dated but still working well enough to get the job done.
Placing the fabric on the scanner, the blue light covers the entirety of the fabric and her laptop nearby lights up. Sparrow sits in her plush desk chair to type away on it, she would know who the Batman was.
Before she had the opportunity to read what her laptop was printing out to her, she felt her chair knock out from under her body.
An explosion had destroyed the side of her office as Sparrow is laid out on her side, her brown desk completely shattered and pieces of the mahogany on top of her.
Sparrow groans as she tries to get up from the ground, fire licked the ground all around her and smoke began to fill the room.
“Oh come on!” She struggled to pull her body up from the floor but, she couldn’t move.
“Fuck!” She cursed.
“Hey, Siri!” She hoped her phone’s assistant would answer her.
“Call the police! Hurry!” She yells then coughs.
Her lower body was beginning to hurt and Sparrow had no choice but to falter onto her arms.
“Help!” She screams.
The office is now engulfing in more flames and slowly closing in on her trapped form.
“Goddammit. I can’t move.” Her panic was rising and her chest was starting to squeeze. A panic attack was not what she needed to happen right now.
She didn’t know what to do, her breath was becoming scarce and she could begin to feel her chest squeeze tighter.
What could she do now? How would she get out of this?
Her eyes were starting to close as she was losing consciousness and her head falls forward on her arms.
“Hate this fucking city…” she mutters and finally loses consciousness.

~~
It isn't often that team TGLNS gets separated for missions. After all, the whole point of being teamed up is that they learn how to work as a team, and yet...
... well, they were told this situation required delicacy. They were split three-ways in the cover of the night: Lark would go on his own, completely cloaked by his semblance, while Grant and Terry covered them from behind, leaving Nick and Sparrow to pair up and secure the base they were sent to protect.
Fighting at night is always harder. Already, Grimm lurk in the shadows, and it is only the faint way Sparrow is glowing that wards them off for the time being- Nick is fairly positive that if she weren't using her semblance, they would've already been attacked.
Sparrow is quiet for once, though her hand trembles in Nick's own as they walk through the forest path towards the base. Her semblance - her own personal superpower, the way she can turn herself into light - certainly comes in handy to make her the world's prettiest night light, but it's a little unnerving to see the way she trembles ever so slightly in the dark.
"Hey," Nick whispers, squeezing her hand. "What's up?"
"I wish Lark were here," Sparrow admits, and she shivers as the breeze catches them both, ruffling her hair and his jacket sleeves in one gentle wave. "I'm worried about him."
"Your brother is gonna be fine, he's a total badass." Nick reassures, and he resists the urge to throw his arm around her, to hold her the way he's been longing for weeks now. "And he's entrusted your safety to me, so give him that same faith, huh?"
"I could kick ass without you," Sparrow retorts, but the silly quip works; she's not shaking so much, and her light is a little steadier as they approach the base.
Crazy that this is the base that criminals use. Nick swallows thickly as they stare at the door, the sounds of Grimm getting closer faint but not far off. "Your grandfather could be here," he murmurs, the words getting stuck in his throat. "Are you... okay with that?"
"My grandfather is a piece of shit who wants to make the world harder for everyone except himself," Sparrow scoffs, and she drops Nick's hand to summon her gauntlet, her form getting a little brighter. "I hope we run into him, so I can kick his ass properly."
Grimm are on their tail now, no longer warded off by Sparrow's semblance, and even though Nick is sure that Grant has their back from the trees and Terry is ready to spring to action if they need him, he can't help but vibrate with adrenaline- brothers above, he loves the thrill of a good fight, especially when he's in such good company. "Looks like the Grimm might get to us first," he warns, even as he summons his spear, his own semblance thrumming underneath his skin, waiting to be used. "Seems we won't get into this place without a fight regardless."
"Let's hope Lark's beaten us there, then," Sparrow says, and she clenches her gauntlet into her chest, spinning on her heels to face Nick. There is something dark in her eyes, even as her glow gets even more intense. "Ready for Operation Flash-Bang?"
"We were born ready," Nick grins.
Before he can use his semblance though, Sparrow does something completely unexpected: she leans up on her toes and draws Nick into a kiss. It isn't the first time they've kissed, but the way that Nick's heart is already beating rapidly from the oncoming fight coupled with how Sparrow's non-gauntlet-ed fist comes to tangle in his hair has him heady, faint.
"For good luck," Sparrow whispers while still against his lips, her breath warm and sending shivers down Nick's spine. "Let's kick some ass, shall we?"
"If you kiss me before every battle, I'll have to fight more often," Nick whispers right back, and he can't resist the urge to lean back in for one last quick kiss, lingering in her taste, her scent.
"Don't get too cocky," Sparrow teases when he straightens back up, but her cheeks are flushed, the light of her semblance doing little to hide it. "Now come on: it'll be embarrassing if Grant takes out more Grimm than we do from the trees."
"Pretty sure that's his job," Nick points out, but as Sparrow leaps into danger, gauntlet held in front of her and glowing brighter than ever, it's all he can do to follow her lead and activate his own semblance, his spear splitting in half as his form splits in two.
It's still a long shot, three against... however many Grimm face them in the woods, not to mention the White Fang rebels they might find in the base. But as long as they're together... Nick has no doubts that they'll be victorious.

A road trip ended with a kitten hatching out of an egg. It was covered in downy grey fur, and only had little nubs on its shoulders that would later become wings. Marcel and I took turns holding him as we went home.
I left the cat with Marcel and came home to my roommate. He was usually a furry, but today he has finally returned to a human form. In this world, criminals are turned into furries so anyone can pick them out of a crowd.
We watched the newest episode of The Owl House, which involved Luz with brighter hair having a depressive episode in her room. She went to the swing set to clear her mind, and found that even though nobody was using them, they were all claimed. Luz argued with one of the people who was waiting for a friend and took the swing until that friend arrived. She watched some other people make fun of a nice kid named Sparrow, and followed them all back to the ringleader’s cruise ship.
Luz joined the festivities there, and there were so many people there that nobody batted an eye. She noticed that there wasn’t any more margarine, and wrote it down on the whiteboard on the fridge. She accidentally wrote “honey,” though.
She came back into the kitchen and saw that some kids had messed with it and turned honey into “horny people.” Luz quickly erased that and asked a nearby adult where the shopping list was. It was apparently on another fridge, and just written directly on it. There were three names on it with a list of different foods beside it, and Luz just tacked it onto the end of the last kid’s.
There was some sort of argument in the dining room, and Luz ended up having to toss some food out the window to calm everyone down.
My roommate and I got into an argument over the show, and it devolved into a fight. Police were called, and we were both taken away.
We were turned into furries on the spot and sat down on the waiting couch for witnesses to come pick us out of a lineup, even though we only fought with ourselves. My roommate turned to the person next to them and told them to look in the wine cellar. They did, and inside was an emaciated brown hand with an impossibly long arm that wasn’t attached to anything. They screamed; I laughed and told my roommate the “you knew that was in there, you bastard.” They grinned at me.
The warden told everyone to evacuate immediately, but I hesitated, as the rules stated that I was never to leave the couch. The warden screamed at me to run, as the hand was a Stygian and had reduced a family of eight to two simply by grabbing them. I snapped out of it and ran.
My roommate and I met in the yard. We were now dragons somehow. He resembled Cascade, and I was Harrier, who was clearly meant to be Fennel from Twelve. In this universe, Cascade rejected Harrier and got a different boyfriend, a SeaWing. We knew this and laughed about it, but I did feel a pang of disappointment.
We hung out in the backyard for a bit, before I suggested that we run to the side of the house where there were no windows so we could eat some chilli peppers. We tried them, it was unpleasant.
My roommate went back to the yard, and I stayed with the peppers for a moment before following him.
Inside the house was a friendly middle-aged woman with stringy blonde hair. She told us that PigeonPeri wanted her dragon back, and we could find her in the front yard. We thanked her, and she turned and crawled away on her hands and knees. She must’ve recently been turned back into a human.
We met PigeonPeri in her stall. My roommate handed over a card which had an IceWing standing on a snowy mountain peak without front legs. PigeonPeri asked for the other one, and he said he hadn’t found it yet.
We went back to the backyard, and I thought about Altium, the blue and pink SeaWing who was supposed to be Cascade’s boyfriend.

Part 1 of 50 Tropes till Winter (Criminal Minds)
Summary:
"Grief is a most peculiar thing; we're so helpless in the face of it. It's like a window that will simply open of its own accord. The room grows cold, and we can do nothing but shiver. But it opens a little less each time, and a little less; and one day we wonder what has become of it."
—Arthur Golden.
Post S10E13, Nelson's Sparrow; they are all grieving in their own way but when Spencer breaks down, they find strength in each other yet again.
Read here on AO3, or under the read more.
They're eating on the couch, Chinese takeout they've torn through in so little time Derek wishes he'd ordered a couple more things for later — he can see it from here, the way Aaron will get back up in a couple of hours, looking for a snack.
"We always do this," he says, putting his empty box and chopsticks on the coffee table as he sits back against the arm of the couch, looking at both of the men next to him.
Aaron's only reaction is to look up from his box with an eyebrow barely raised. Spencer doesn't react at all.
"Order just short of enough, being reasonable," he puts air-quotes on that last word, "and—"
"Excuse me," Spencer cuts him off, getting up at the same time, letting his own box slip from his hand onto the table as he steps around Derek's legs and leaves the room. Aaron's full-on frowning now, and Derek knows he is, too.
"What's with him?" He asks, thinking maybe Spencer talked to the other man at some point, maybe there was a conversation somewhere between the jet and the office, or between the parking-lot and home that he wasn't a part of. He sure didn't tell Derek what's been on his mind the last few days, why the dark circles under his eyes are back, why he's flinching away from their touch. He hates it, and Aaron's response does little to help that.
"I don't know," Aaron whispers, and Derek believes him, the way he rubs his fingers together and the way his jaw works under his skin, he's seen it a hundred times, he knows what it means. They spend a moment just staring into each other's eyes, like they can share their thoughts, half-born ideas and concerns, just like that, without a word. They generally can, but they're both too worried it seems. Derek extends a hand on the couch between them, palm up right where Spencer sat too straight a moment before.
"Let's go see if he'll talk to us, hm?"
Aaron takes his hand and nods. When they get up, Derek steals a quick kiss, as much affection as reassurance. Aaron squeezes his hand just as Derek pushes his hair away from his forehead, and there they go, into the hallway and down to their bedroom. Another deep breath and Derek opens the door, unsure what they'll find behind it. He tells himself not to tense up like he does in the field, when they clear a residence or a warehouse. It's ridiculous, but it doesn't matter — it only takes a second to realize Spencer is not in bed, and another for Derek to finally register the sound of the shower running.
Aaron drops his hand to go knock on the bathroom door, standing close enough that his foot bumps against the bottom of it.
"Spencer?"
Derek hates how worried he sounds, and not just because he feels the same but because if it were up to him, neither of the men he loves would ever feel this way—
"Spence, are you okay?" Aaron tries again, and then when there's no response and he looks back at Derek, his frown deepening, he adds, louder, "Can we come in?"
Aaron's expression is downright dark when a minute has passed and no response has come from inside the bathroom. He tries the door handle, and lets out an explosive sigh when it's of course locked. Their eyes meet again when Aaron knocks louder, and then stops all at once, pressing his back against the door and his palm to his face, rubbing roughly.
"Do your thing?" He asks, biting his bottom lip in that way he does when he's sort of nervous, sort of self-conscious, but it's all overridden by how worried he is. Has to be if he's asking him to knock down doors inside their own apartment.
"You sure?" Derek asks anyway, because he has to. He laughs an unhappy kind of chuckle when Aaron's only answer is to step away from the door, glaring at it like it's offended him personally. "Fine. Guess it'll give me something to do when we're not out on cases, huh?"
The noise it makes, wood splintering as the frame cracks, bends and bursts, is deafening in the quiet of their home, the silence of their concern. Derek steadies the door before it can go and break the tile on the wall, and his eyes widen when he finally sees Spencer. He doesn't have a wise line left in him, not a trace of humor when he takes in the sight of his boyfriend folded over himself in the shower, naked boniness trembling as water pours over him, his wet hair hiding his face.
Aaron's the first to move, all clothed that he is, past the clear half-wall of the shower and into it, under the jets he doesn't bother turning off as he kneels and takes Spencer in his arms.
"What the hell?" Derek hears himself whispering. His hands are shaking, his shoulder smarts from pushing the door loose and all he can think about is how stupid it was to let Spencer come to them instead of making him talk. He doesn't stop to think that pressing Spencer never goes anywhere good, instead he gets behind Aaron in the shower, close enough that he can grab Spencer's cold fingers from where they rest on his knee.
He's relieved yet devastated when the man doesn't even try to protest, say he's fine, ask them to respect his privacy — anything. Instead he cries into Aaron's neck and his fingers twitch between Derek's.
"Let's get him out of here before you're soaked too," Derek says, because Aaron hasn't moved yet, and he doesn't want him getting sick on top of this. He turns off the water and gets busy finding towels and Spencer's robe. Then maneuvers with Aaron to pull their lover out of there. Spencer lets them. He curls into Derek's arms, shivering in the fluffy towel while Aaron gratefully takes the one Derek hands him and dries himself as best as he can too. He takes his sweater off, his shirt is passably dry.
"Let's get you into bed, okay?" Derek kisses Spencer's cheek, glad for the way he doesn't shy away from eye contact even when what he sees there makes him shudder. Spencer looks lost, in more pain than he can possibly say and that's when it hits him — he's seen that look a few times before, too many times really, but the last time he did… Derek sucks in a breath and looks up to find Aaron frowning at them still, and he tells him, arms strong and ready for the way it makes Spencer's legs give out from under him — "Gideon."
That's all he needs to say, Aaron's eyes widen and he curses under his breath but that's all they've ever needed. Explanations are no use, it's been six months since their former colleague, friend, mentor was killed. Six months during which they all tried to move on, get back to life before that horrible night. Doesn't mean any of them dealt with those feelings. They buried them, because that's what they do.
They get Spencer laid out in the middle of the bed, his wet hair still sticking to his skin in odd places, soaking through the pillowcase. They lie down on either side of him, bracketing him with their arms and chests alike. When Derek feels like this, having them both around him always feels safe, warm, a solidity he doesn't have when he breaks down, but can find again in the men that make everything better, always. Derek doesn't know if they can make this better though, not when they feel the same ache inside them, when they too, felt the pain of losing someone who had such an impact on who they were then and who they are now. Someone who shaped them into the men and agents they grew to be under his watchful eye and his double-edged sword of a mind.
They stay like this for a long time. Long minutes that morph into an hour maybe, and during which Spencer cries and Derek is sure Aaron lets a few tears of his own roll down his face because he hides it all in Spencer's shoulder. Derek hasn't cried yet, he doesn't think he will, but he's glad these two get to let go in this moment. Finally. Where it's safe. Where no one is looking or taking notes.
He lets his hand rub Spencer's side and Aaron's hip, back-and-forth with no distinct pattern to it. He just wants to be close to them, and when Aaron's hand closes around his, he stops moving altogether. Aaron's hand is cold, it always is, and that little fact is enough for Derek's heart to squeeze. He tightens his grip on it and looks beyond Spencer's shoulder to find Aaron watching him. He looks more peaceful than before, and that's confirmation enough that they all needed this.
"What do you need, pretty boy?" Derek asks, a whisper of a question, "Think you can get some sleep if we stay here like this?"
It takes a minute, and Derek spends it brushing his lips against Spencer's clammy skin, kissing the base of his skull and waiting.
"I think I'd rather watch something," Spencer eventually replies, his voice hoarse and his eyes puffy when he looks back at Derek and Derek nods. He looks back at Aaron and smiles when he sees they had the same idea—
"Star Wars?"
That makes Spencer smile a little, too.
"With or without commentary?"
"Are you kidding? That's half the fun, isn't it?"
Aaron chuckles when Spencer looks back-and-forth between them and confirms, "Sure is." And then he adds, a mock-pensive look on his face, "Think we even have some Easter chocolate left somewhere."
The prospect of chocolate and Spencer's favorite franchise to deconstruct seems to finally break the gravity of the moment, and when he sits up, Derek can't help but grab Aaron's chin and kiss him softly. Spencer watches them with an equally soft expression, and Derek kisses him too — he brushes Spencer's wild hair into a semi-tamed shape, smiling when Aaron's arms snake around Spencer's waist.
"Let's go do that then," Derek drops one last kiss on both their mouths, emotion once again washing over him that he doesn't want to wallow in. He knows they know, but they go along and don't drag him back between them when he gets up a little too brusquely. "Movie night and candy, like a bunch of teenagers."
He knows they got Spence back when he immediately fires back— "Chocolate acts as a natural antidepressant for a variety of reasons. The studies around it aren't uncontested but…"
Derek doesn't hear the rest, he makes his way to the kitchen instead, grabs a bowl and pours every leftover bag of little Easter eggs they have in the cupboard, throws a pack of snickers bars on top and smiles. He's sure Aaron is listening intently as Spencer goes on a rant about sweets, a familiar one, one they've heard a million times as their boyfriend justifies his admittedly terrible diet. He takes another deep breath, grateful that they knew to give him just a little bit of space, and then finds them on the couch again, the remote in Spencer's hand and Aaron's socked feet on the coffee table.
"Here you go," Derek hands Spence the bowl before sitting on Aaron's other side. He's sure he'll fall asleep on his shoulder soon enough, but for now he just laces their fingers and tries to keep his laughing silent as they start the movie and Spencer is already rambling.
Grief is a monster they all know inside and out by now, both an intensely personal nightmare and a shared battle. Sometimes there's nothing to say or do, but be together, and that's one thing they can always find their way back to.

hair colour.   jet black. eye colour.   brown. body type.   lithe is probably the best way to describe him. jack has a wiry strength about him but he’s also a smol. dominant hand.  right, but jack is almost certainly ambidextrous given that he can fence with both hands and uses his left hand sometimes to fire his pistol. posture.   not ‘proper’, at least by the standards of the era. he will slouch, he will selectively ignore basic table manners & general etiquette, and he has a fondness for invading others’ personal space. but the best way to describe his general posture is probably that it’s constantly in motion. jack rarely stays still for very long, even if it’s just in the movement of his hands and fingers as sitting at his desk or telling a story. scars.   the definitive meta is here, but jack canonically has twin bullet wounds on the right hand side of his chest, burns along his left arm, his P brand for being marked as a pirate, and a scar through his right eyebrow which extends slightly into his forehead. most noticeable features.   i feel like i could just say... everything lmao. he is a walking noticeable feature. he’s there to be noticed. if he’s not noticed then he has failed in his number one goal in life.
𝖈𝖍𝖎𝖑𝖉𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖉  .

sexual orientation.   bisexual. preferred sexual role.  he prefers submissive but not exclusively, he’s most easily defined as a switch. turn-ons. anyone who can challenge him or push him or match him at anything, but particularly wit. he will easily tire of a passive partner or anyone who tells him what he wants to hear, which sounds contradictory but he is self-aware enough to know that he needs someone to help keep his ego in check and i love that so much about him. turn-offs.  passivity is the major one, as i said above. also general cruelty, ignorance and a bad-tempered disposition.
𝖒𝖎𝖘𝖈𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖆𝖓𝖊𝖔𝖚𝖘  .
hobbies to pass time.   swimming, playing cards, causing trouble, reading. mental illnesses.   in no verse has anything ever been diagnosed, but by modern definition ( which is certainly different to how jack would understand it in the 18th century ) there is almost certainly ptsd, depression & possible anxiety mixed in there.

Masterlist
Pairing: Five Hargreeves x Reader
Words: 1350 words
Warnings: TUA season 2 spoilers, violence.
Requested by: @princess00wifi
Can I pls request five x reader (they worked in the commission together) where they finally fix the timeline and solve the apocalypse? They can finally just be calm and happy together (maybe five gets that nap he so desperately needs) and it’s just super fluffy🥺👉👈
A/N: YES YOU CAN! I loove when people make request, it gives me more will to write. Thanks for the ask  ❤  Again, Five is an adult!
Gif is not mine, credits to the owner (if it’s you, please let me know) ❤
Tumblr media
It took a while to get used to it. For as far as he could remember, he has always been a fighter. Every overwhelming training sessions Sir Hargreeves had forced upon him had prepared him to fight criminals with easy success. His time in the apocalypse made him an expert in survival, while his time at the Commission had perfected his killing skills. At one point, he considered that every cell of his being was made to kill and to kill only.
This is why lounging in the grass at the feet of a century-old oak was so foreign to Five. At first.
Your presence helped him ease into his new life. Your carefree spirit mixed with your affection played a great role in soothing his sore muscles, relaxing his mind, calming his murderous tendencies, and thawing his heart of ice.
When he would snap at one of his siblings for no reason at all, you would get to his side, intertwine your fingers with his and slightly draw shapes on the back of his hands. When he couldn't find the right equation to execute a perfect time jump, causing him to get mad from a headache, you would sit on his lap and massage his skull tenderly with your oh-so-delicate fingers. When he felt like dying under all the pressure of the Commission trying to kill him and his family, the apocalypse menacing to kill all those who were important to him and finding how to stop said apocalypse without a clue on how to do it, you would prepare him one of your special coffee pot, would smile at him and remind him your mantra. Life has an odd way of making things work out in the end. You would then hug him and whisper in his ear that no matter what, you were always there to help and have his back. He never knew why, but all of your simple gestures always managed to appease him. You could do things that would normally infuriate him to no end if another person was to do them, but when it was you… It felt good.
You two had met at the Commission. You were assigned to show him around, evaluate his potential in the different departments and train him in said department. One of your greatest qualities was that you had trained in every department of the Commission, making you very handy when new promising employees were hired. Five has been genuinely surprised when he discovered that your own predilection department was in the field. He never thought that a bubbly and sweet person like you could kill people for a living. You had simply shrugged and hit him square in the face.
Since he got to know you better. You were incredibly smart and effective. Cheeky and confident. The Commission often praised your work and liked to call you one of their best, although sometimes you would lose track of your briefcases. It was your greatest weakness, one that would never fail to exasperate Five. After losing almost 10 briefcases, the Commission started to put trackers on yours so you could find them at the end of your mission and stop costing them thousands of dollars.
Five hated to admit it, but he could never have beaten the Commission and restored the timeline without your help. All this time, you were 3 moves ahead of everyone.
In your time as an Infinite Switchboard Operator, you had discovered that the 2019 apocalypse was an inevitable one. What Number Seven -Vanya- had suffered through her childhood was irreversible and definitive. You had tried different scenarios to prevent the 2019 apocalypse, even one where you killed Sir Reginald Hargreeves, but every one of them led to the same fate. The end of the world.
Then you decided to let the events of 2019 happen and play with what was next. You saw all the potential in the Hargreeves family and decided to join forces. Seeing that briefcases were the biggest problem in this timeline, you deliberately lost your briefcases in different strategic points in time, where you could easily get to them without the Commission knowing.
This was how you had saved their asses. You had offered them the lost briefcases before they got the time to meet their father of this timeline. You knew how this meeting affected their own timeline and you were definitely a pro-Umbrella Academy and a con-Sparrow Academy.
Then with the help of Five who eliminated the previous Commission's board and managed to finally kill the Handler for good, you made sure that the new heads of the corporation were apocalypse-tendencies-free.
"You're pretty deep in that head of yours, uh?" Your amused tone along with your soft fingers combing his hair brang Five back to reality. His gaze found yours and just like every time he did, his heartbeat quickened in his chest. He couldn't be happy enough that he finally found the right maths to time travel to reach a 30 years old body and go back to you as an adult. To his displeasure, you had stopped being touchy with him when he was stuck in his 13-year-old self.
"You can say that." He moved a strand of hair behind your ear lovingly. They were back in their respective timeline for 3 years now. They had survived the isolation of 2020 together, not that they minded, and lived together since.
Thunder rumbled in the distance, warning the two former assassins that the thunderstorm was finally making its way to them. Five sighed, displeased that you hurried to disentangle yourself from him. A soft rain had started falling, the intensity growing with each minute.
The old tree offered the perfect protection to the space-time traveler. Not a single droplet reached his clothes or skin, thanks to the thick foliage. From his dry spot, Five chuckled at your antics. You were running under the rain, your arms wide open, completely soaked but happy and serene.
Another thunder resonated and Five got to his feet. The cold rain hitting his skin and infiltrating his clothes made him tense. He hoped you won't insist too much to stay outside. Now at your side, he got ahold of your hand and tried to pull you with him towards your shared home. As expected, you pulled on your hand to free yourself, but not to avail. Five's grip was of iron, but not hurting.
"Come on Five! I want to enjoy the rain!" You pouted, joining your hands behind his neck in a slack embrace. His hand never left yours.
"The thunderstorm is coming. It's unsafe and you'll get sick in all this rain." He tried to reason you. He knew he failed when you smiled in return.
"But I have my umbrella with me." You chuckled while tracing the umbrella tattoo on his wrist with your fingertips. Five rolled his eyes but kissed your lips nonetheless. He would never admit it to you, but he loved your cheekiness.
The thunder was getting closer and Five didn't like it one bit. He closed his fists and jumped with you into the house.
"Party pooper." You pouted. Five rolled his eyes and jumped again, this time landing both of you in the shower. Quickly, he opened the water and chuckled at your surprised scream. "That's cold!" Your body collided with his, the feeling of wet clothes disturbing Five. You reached behind him to adjust the water temperature and soon both your clothes fell to the ground, forgotten until the next day.
Every day during his 45 years stuck in the apocalypse Five had hated himself for disobeying his father. For 3 years now, he thanks the universe for his stubbornness.
Every night when you fell asleep in his arms, Five is grateful that despite all he has done, despite his abrasive exterior and despite all the chaos he brang into your life, you still want him.
Life has a beautiful way of making things work out in the end.

Mismatch- Part 25
In my defence I didn’t forget about updating here, I just didn’t want to.
First < Previous
---------------
“How do I look?” Marion asks as people fuss around him, not least of all Marinette herself.
“I hoped that would be obvious seeing as I designed this look,” She smirks at him eyes sparkling he can tell since the whites of the Domino mask are removed.
“Yeah, yeah, you’re the greatest and all that,” He waves her off as a stylist tries to tame his hair to fit the messy look she wanted.
“Well it is true isn’t it?” She teases, someone also trying to follow her with a brush and comb as she flies around the room in a whirl of designing.
"Perhaps," Marion hums, gaze drifting over to the door where he notices a familiar figure, Marinette follows his smile.
“Luka!” Marinette exclaims, wrapping her friend in a hug, “When did you arrive?”
“Last night," Luka smiles, she was glad she got the chance to become his friend again as MDC, not that he knew their secret identity, "This city is so majestic,”
“Gotham at night?” Marion scoffs, turning in his seat, only to get scolded by the stylist, “Are we talking about the same place?”
“CD maybe you just haven't taken the time to really hear the city’s song,” Luka strums a few cords to demonstrate, “You should its melody compliments your own,”
“I’ll have to take your word for it,” Marion shrugs, sitting forward again, “Do you think you can use it to reach out to the Gotham audience? I really want to connect with them,”
“Will do boss,” Marion sticks his tongue at him, Luka only ever called him that in jest.
Luka gives a playful wave leaving to go sort out the music. He had his own responsibilities as the opening act. Marinette feels someone watching them and dismisses the stylist, congratulating her on a great job. She looks a tad peeved as Marion's hair is largely the same as when she entered, but many employees are used to the twins randomly leaving anyway. The door to their dressing room clicks closed and the presence makes itself known.
“What can we do for you, Batman?” Marinette asks, offering him a seat, although she knows he won’t accept it.
“MDC,” he inclines his head, not showing if he was taken aback by her catching him out, “We have reason to believe the concert will be attacked tonight,”
“Yeah, we thought that might happen,” Marion gets up, stretching, “Just try to keep whoever away from the crowd and we can handle the rest,”
“You don’t seem to understand, after the last attack-”
“Sorry to cut you off,” Wow it was weird acing professional around the same guy they had been tormenting the past few weeks, “But that was an impromptu event this one has been planned out for years,"
Officially not but they had designed the building to help them catch akuma in Paris while keeping an event going, they just applied that design to Gotham.
"If you would like to call in the rest of your coworkers we can show you the defenses we have in place so you can work with them,”
Batman seems surprised. What did he think they were just air-headed celebrities? Well, that wasn’t going to be the only surprise of the day then. Sure enough, he calls everyone in and Marinette’s a little hurt to see he invited everyone but Sparrow and Songbird to join in the fun. She hides this fact leading the ragtag group through the backstage area. Spotting their manager she walks over.
“Could you please clear our schedule we want to give them a personal tour of our security measures,” She asks Kate, to her credit only looking mildly surprised to see the whole Batfam trailing after them.
“I thought you might, I’ve already worked it into your schedule, just make sure you're there in time for the costume checks,” Kate looks down tapping away at her tablet, “Also call your uncle arrived in town last night he’ll want to wish you good luck so watch out for him,”
“We couldn’t do it without you,” Marinette beams, letting her go to attend her other duties.
They must make an odd sight, two superstars guiding a pack of vigilantes like ducklings through the backstage. They go over all the security protocols. Safe rooms that the staff was instructed to go to under certain circumstances. There were carefully lain traps that only a few people could trigger to set off. On the stage itself was a secret compartment Marion could make a quick getaway to get change in, a tunnel leading backstage. The entire backstage was a maze in itself all the staff specially trained to navigate it.
To protect the audience they hadn't packed it nearly as much as they could have so it meant it easier for them to reach the exits. Indeed there were hidden emergency exits that people could escape through if villains blocked the obvious ones, they were set to reveal themselves if that was the case. There were also hidden trapdoors in rows of seats that would glow if people were forced to duck behind the seats. It leads to underground tunnels that would lead them safely away. There were even tunnels connecting to the staff safe rooms so they could come and direct the audience as needed. Marinette had made sure to make the tunnels look inviting ad pleasant so no one would panic at being underground.
Then there were the special (comfy) perches that they showed to the Batfamily, each situated to look over everything and be hidden by the lights. There were wires leading to the stage and audience in case they needed to get down quickly and quietly. They also made a web above that they could run along and run any interference with ariel attacks. They also gave them each a blueprint of the stadium so they could see all the secret tunnels that were perfect for a surprise attack. There were ones leading into the entrance subtle enough someone could be pulled in while walking into the building, for the purposes of catching criminals before they even entered. There was also a trap door that could open underneath, she gave them each a remote control to these, warning them to use them wisely. Each hidden door leads to a room suited for fighting, carefully crafted to give the bats and edge.
It had taken a long time and a lot of money but they had invested, making a safe place they could rent out to other performers so there could be more shows in Gotham conducted safely. She could tell that by the end of the tour even Batman was impressed as they headed back to the stage through the empty audience seating.
“Hey! Superstars!” Jagged's voice booms across the arena, waving from the entrance of the place.
“Uncle Jagged!” Marion jumps over seats to reach him, Marinette a step behind him as they both tackle him into a hug.
“Good to see you too,” Jagged ruffles their hair, Marinette sends a silent apology to the stylist, “This place looks Rockin!”
“You bet just wait till I take the stage,” Marion grins, as they both hug Penny and Fang as well.
“Why wait! Show me what you got,” Jagged sends Marion off, who runs to the technicians asking if they can do an early mic check, everyone scrambles to make it happen.
“So how’re you finding Gotham?” Jagged asks her, walking with a side hug back towards the Batfamily.
“Oh, you know… busy,”
“I’d say the news with Marion? That was wicked!”
“Yes… wicked,” Penny pales at just the memory, and yeah fair enough.
“Yo Batman great to meet you!” Jagged boisterous nature meets Batman’s stoic one but the poor guy barely has a chance to adjust before Jagged’s moving on.
“Yo Red Hood right?” Hood looks a little shocked as Jagged claps a hand on his shoulder, “You saved my nephew, I really owe you one!”
“Oh-that's not- I just,” Marinette shares a smirk with Jagged which would have surely had Marion screaming.
“Yeah, he really looks up to you!” Jagged has him spluttering more, she would show him mercy but they only have so much time before Marion catches on.
“Oh Uncle Jagged I wouldn’t phrase it like that,” Marinette says in a suggestive tone, the stage is still empty of Marion.
“Of course, no I’d say it more that...” Marinette could actually laugh as Red Hood practically vibrates from anticipation, “He likes you,”
I think we just killed  him, Marinette notes as Red Hood internally combusts. Well now wasn't the time to show mercy.
“I’d say that's putting it rather lightly,” Marinette smirks as Red Hood is sent into another spluttering mess, and oh how she wishes he wasn't wearing that helmet.
“Right it’s more like-”
“Stop it both of you,” Penny’s reprimand has them both doubling over with laughter. The Batfamily looking absolutely bewildered. Minus of course, Red Hood who they may have to call an ambulance for soon if he doesn't start breathing.
“What are you two laughing at?” Marion walks to the edge of the stage, someone fusses with a microphone not too far away.
“Nooothhinggggg,” They chime simultaneously, with matching grins.
“Penny?” Marion all but whines, fidgeting nervously.
“They haven’t said anything bad,” She assures him, Marion foolishly relaxes.
“Hey is this the guy that saved your hide?” Jagged asks, having the guts to swing his arm around Red Hood’s shoulders.
“Uncle Jagged,” He hisses at the same time Penny hisses ‘Jagged’.
“You should thank him... sing endless!” Jagged exclaims, and Marinette couldn’t be sure he hasn't been planning this from the start, “You wrote it for him didn’t you?”
“Not for him its not-” Marion makes a bunch of vague gestures, “You know?”
“Not at all,” Jagged grins, dragging Red Hood closer to center stage seats, he plops down Red Hood right in the middle of the stadium. The rest of the Batfam take seats around them. “Sing Endless!”
Marion is scowling but doesn't have much other choice as a stagehand tell him he’s all set. He takes the microphone. Marinette mimes at him to breathe, he rolls his eyes but does anyway. The music starts Marion hitting his cue and with just the first few words she could see the tension drain away.
“And the world starts slowly caving it~”
It was such a gentle song. So many people had told him and still told him that it didn’t fit the violent vigilante. The producers had argued they should just fit it to someone else, someone people liked more. In the end, they had caved to Marion's arguments probably because it wasn't made to be an upbeat pop song so they weren't too attached to the money making aspect. That didn't stop the audience from arguing about it afterwards. Some claimed they just randomly selected the song, or that they shouldn't have done one for him at all.
Marion pointedly told them they were all wrong. And looking at Red Hood now, completely enthralled with Marion's singing she could tell that, yeah it had fit him perfectly all along.
"All the words you said were they true? or just selfish li-es~"
Marinette broke her gaze away from Marion to look at the rest of the Batfamily. Suffice to say they were all enthralled, hopefully they wouldn't be this distracted at the concert tonight. Although she supposed it was a good thing they were doing the mic check now so they could watch now and focus later. Then again she doubted Red Hood would be much use regardless, he was leaning forward in his seat the rest of the world dead to him. To fair Marion wasn't much better. In a crowd he would look around or at least pick a random stop to sing to no one. This time however? this time he was locked on to Red Hood sinign directly to him and he probably didn't even realise.
"Gave all I ever had try to make you laugh try to please you~"
Batman looked uncomfortable at the line. Judjing by the times she had seen them spend together there was a tension between them a past she didn't know. How Marion managed to pick up on that long before they came to Gotham she doesn't know. It was almost like he could see into his soul, a connection there despite never having met, like the pull of a miraculous.
"All I know is gone, now I'm all alone~"
Marion wasn’t testing out the mics. That much was obvious. He was straight up performing. And no he hadn’t written the song for Red Hood persay. But she had watched him every night and day agonize over the right words to use, the tune, the feeling behind it. Scraping up every bit of information he could it was probably more thorough than any police investigation done on Red Hood. It was then she realized, their room covered top to bottom in pictures of him covering the ones she had of Adrien, that Marion had completely and utterly fallen for the guy. No, it wasn't a song for him, it was a love letter for him, to him, about him. It was a picture that painted exactly how Marion saw him.
And she was willing to bet that the only people that didn’t realize it were them, both completely captivated by each other as Marion finished.
“What is it~” He holds the next note until the music fades out into nothingness, “Inside~”
The music stops, Marion opening his eyes, almost seeming startled that there were other people sitting before him. It’s only then he seemed to realize that there was more than just one other person in the arena and spirited off to check with the sound. It was as he turned to walk away Marinette could tell Hood had seen it, the robins newly stitched up the back of his jacket.

Naughty or nice
This is my first attempt to do something out of my comfort zone, I'm gonna write a sexy fanfic just for you guys as an early Christmas present! Of course it's Christmas themed.
Warning ⚠️ swearing and explicit content.
Jason Todd x female reader
It was a typical Gotham night, usual boring wait for some excitement. As Christmas was approaching, there weren't many criminals out.
'Guess they're taking time off' Red Robin spoke next to you, breaking you out of your thoughts.
'Huh?' You looked at Tim in his get up,
'Well it's December 23rd, criminals lessen now. For some reason' he finished. You were in your Sparrow suit, sitting on a ledge next to Red Robin above an alley.
'Gotham is dead tonight' Red Hood spoke on your comms.
'We got that Jay' Red Robin laughed, 'think Bruce would mind if we headed home early?' He continued.
'Not at all, he took Robin home an hour ago' Hood answered, for once Tim and Jason were talking calmly with each other.
'Think I might go home too' you said as you stood up from the ledge and walked over to the roof door.
'Night Sparrow' Tim called out, you turned and smiled.
'Night Red Robin'
...
You got into your shared apartment before Jason, this time you used the front door as most of your neighbours were away or in bed by now.
Jason came in through the living room window, in his full Red Hood suit.
'Hey Doll' he called out, you smiled as you changed into your overgrown knitted jumper and leggings.
'Hey Big guy' you called back, 'don't get changed yet'.
Jason looked confused as he held his helmet under his right arm.
'Why?' He asked, you just answered with a laugh.
'I have a confession, I've always wanted to have sex with Red Hood' you grim as you walk into the living room. Jason chuckles.
'You do anyway'
'No, no I mean, Red Hood' Jason just raises an eyebrow.
'Like with this on?' Jason asks to clarify, you nod eagerly.
'You know around Christmas time guys will dress up as Santa. I think instead, you should just be as Red Hood. He's way sexier' you chuckle as you wrap your arms around Jason's neck, kissing him deeply.
'OK, then maybe New Year I get to have sex with Sparrow' Jason laughs, you just nod.
'Deal'
You kiss Jason deeply as he drops his helmet on the coffee table, picking you up and sitting down with you on his lap. The kiss get hot, with both of you panting.
'Wait' you whispered as you break away, you stand up and give Jason his helmet. Jason then slips it over his head.
'Have you been naughty or nice this year?' Jason asks menacingly, his voice altered by the tech in the helmet. You do a little strip tease, as you take off your leggings.
'I'll take that as Naughty' Jason rolls his tongue, you spot his hardness through his trousers as you turn away from him. Dropping your underwear.
'This is slow torture' Jason says as he starts to put his hand down his pants, grabbing his thick length.
'I've been filthy' you whisper, as you begin to stick you fingers in yourself. Finding a good pace, you breath heavy and start to moan a little.
'Mmm, doll, the things I wanna do right now' Jason pants, pulling his length out completely to jerk off while he watches you.
You kneel down in front of him as you start to find a faster pace, Jason's pace also get quicker. You pull away before you arrive and move Jason's hand away from himself, as you put his shaft in your mouth. Keeping the pace he had to finish him off.
'Y/n, I'm gonna...' Jason pants as his hips rise up, deepening into your mouth, unloading into it.
You pull away once he is finished and grant him another kiss. This time with a mistletoe.
'Merry Christmas Mr Red Hood' you smile, sitting on his lap again.
'Merry Christmas Miss Sparrow' he laughs, you then kiss Jason again, already feeling him harden as you roll your hips.
Jason tosses you aside as he spreads your legs, placing his lips near entrance, gently licking it. You gasp, as Jason gets lower and begins to eat you out. Like he's starving and hasn't eaten for weeks.
'Uh, Jason' you pant, rolling your hips with the pace of Jason's tongue. As Jason deepens his tongue even more, you feel yourself undoing. Your breathing hitches, your hips jerk more, then the overwhelming feeling of your orgasm hits.
'Hood, uh, my God' you pant, gripping the cushion next to you.
Jason comes upto your face and gives you his sly smile, the one he makes when he's proud, and kisses you again.
'How was that?' He asks, already knowing the answer.
'So good I wanna make you go again' you smile, Jason just raises his eye brows.
'Well, you really do have a thing for Red Hood huh?' Jason jokes, you push him off you and back to his earlier seated position. Putting his helmet back on him.
'Let's pretend I'm a random woman you just saved from a drug lord, this is me thanking you' Jason nods, really hard by now.
You position yourself perfectly above him as you lower onto his shaft, you let out a little gasp from his length. Then you start to find a little bounce, as your pace quickens it doesn't take long for Jason to match your pace, deepening into you with each thrust.
'Fuck babe' Jason moans under his helmet, you just move quicker and harder.
'Red, uh my, I'm getting close' you pant again, Jason starts to pant with you. Sounding a little gurgled under his helmet. You give a quick kiss to the helmet, as you roll you hips with your pace. Making Jason's head fall back from pleasure.
'Look at me when you cum' Jason moans, he is close by now too. But he is a gentleman, and wants you to get there first.
'Fuck, I'm...' you almost scream as you feel yourself unfolding around Jason, looking into his eyes as you do. Jason pounds into you a bit quicker as he can feel himself following.
'Yes, uh' Jason moans as he shoots his hot seed inside you. Finding a slow yet hard pace to unload again, this time inside your walls.
You roll over to sit next to Jason, as he sits breathing hard in his helmet.
'Can you breath ok in there?' You ask, laughing a little. Jason just nods.
'I'm going to treat you like a bad girl tonight' Jason says as he takes his helmet off, he then stands to take his suit off. Tossing it to one side.
'This time, I get to call the shots' Jason booms as he pushes you down on your back, taking your top off over your head and soon your bra.
Jason lays on top of you and kisses you deeply, he begins to leave kisses all over your neck, shoulder and then abdomen. You just breath heavily.
Jason then gets hard once more and enters you without warning, making you jump. He smiles brightly as he leans into your ear.
'This time, scream my name as loud as you can'
Following from his whisper he gets on his knees as he starts to find a fast rhythm, also quite hard. Never been hard like this before, it was new.
'Fuck, Jason' you whisper, Jason just gets harder and faster.
'Louder' he demands, as he gets harder you begin to breath faster. Not being able to control the volume that follows suit.
'Jason' you shout, Jason smiles as he gets even harder and faster,
'Jason' you scream as Jason bites his bottom lip. He loves the sound of his name coming from you, screaming it is something even better.
'Y/n' he pants as he lays on top, keeping the pace and hardness going for as long as he can hold out.
'Oh God' you shout, then Jason feels it. Your walls tighten around him as you arch your back. Feeling pressure between your legs, you moan and scream Jason's name as loud as you can like he said before.
'Y/n' Jason shouts loud after as he feels himself going again. A slow, hard pace follows again as he goes undone inside you again.
'Shit' Jason whispers, as he kisses your neck. You run your fingers through his tattered hair.
Jason rolls over onto his back, pulling you onto his chest to hold you.
'That was probably the most adventurous we've ever been' you laugh, Jason just chuckles.
'Definitely'
'I love you' you smiled as you kiss Jason's chest.
'I love you too Doll' Jason replies as he holds you tighter, his eyes feeling heavy.

What do they consider their best feature?: Their hair; it’s their pride and joy, even if most of the time it resembles scraggly strands of straw.
Worst they’ve ever been injured: Grazed by a bullet against their right arm running from the gunfight that nearly killed their boyfriend. There’s still a slight scar, but they’d never admit it.

Favorite outfit: Oversized plaid shirt, cropped shorts, fishnet stockings + Doc Marten boots.
Glasses? Contacts?: n/a.

Style of speech (loud, mumbler, articulate, etc.): Sparrow’s volume is marginally below a shout, loud and articulate, unwavering.
Accent?: Southern, born from New Mexico and intensified through years in Texas.
Unique mannerisms/physical habits: Sparrow bites their nails incessantly, which is a nasty habit ( although it’s one they’d never dare break ) .
Left handed or right?: Left handed.
Do they work out/exercise?: Not at all. They’d be seen dead before they were seen in workout gear.

Spender or Saver? Why?: Spender. Sparrow still isn’t used to not having unlimited funds, and is used to blowing hundreds on new clothes, booze and whatever the hell they want. It’s been quite a steep learning curve, but they’re slowly adjusting.
Which is more important – money or doing something they love?: Something they love, every time.
SECRETS:
Phobias: N/A
Life goals: To own a house, with windows and a white picket fence ( and maybe to have somebody to share that with ) .

Biggest regret: Abandoning Marcos.
Police/Criminal/Legal record: Messy, but they’re across state lines now and hopefully remain anonymous. There are a few petty charges of vandalism, trespassing and being drunk and disorderly, but they were never charged with anything severe. That doesn’t mean they weren’t guilty of it.

CHARACTER  SHEET. repost,    don’t  reblog.
BASICS.
FULL  NAME    :     peter maddox woods. NICKNAME(S)    :     bear, woodsie, sir woods. GENDER    :    cis  man. AGE    :    i write him thru ages 20’s - 50’s  (born: 12/25/1943) ZODIAC    :    capricorn sun / sagittarius moon / virgo rising.  SPOKEN  LANGUAGE(S)  :     english.
PHYSICAL  CHARACTERISTICS.
HAIR  COLOUR   :   black, with brown undertones. EYE  COLOUR   :  blue. SKIN  TONE    :     white. BODY  TYPE    :   broad shoulders, barrel chested, with a bit of extra heft in the 70’s. HEIGHT    :     6ft VOICE    :    northern english accent (mancunian/yorkshire); deep, rolling - but like he’s been smoking for a long time (which he has). this song is wild to link but while the accent of the monologue is slightly different than woods’, the voice and words are right on the nose. DOMINANT  HAND  :     left handed. POSTURE    :    he’s aware that he takes up a good deal of space but not enough to make him hunch his shoulders. his presence isn’t much more dominating than a large shadow, and he stands often with arms folded, weight casually on one leg. SCARS    :    there are likely a few faded ones from his rugby/football years, probably most noticeable on his knees or elbows.  TATTOOS    :     a ship anchor with a sparrow on it, located on his inner right forearm. the anchor, which he got while travelling with the band, symbolises his life’s constant changes in direction but hope for safe stability; the bird means freedom and he has it added after he meets perry.
CHILDHOOD.
PLACE  OF  BIRTH   :    tarvin, chester, UK. it’s a small village in cheshire a few miles away from manchester. it does not get developed much until the 1960s, so woods’ early childhood was quiet, formal, and sequestered. SIBLING(S)   :     no siblings, though bennie could very well be considered his friend-sister after he gets to know her through perry. PARENTS    :   linden & penelope (penny) woods. linden is essentially a sleazy businessman with a fluctuating reputation. penny is a soft spoken housewife, periodically a secretary, with a good deal of whimsy when she feels comfortable enough. woods takes mostly after his mother.
ADULT  LIFE.
OCCUPATION    :    roadie for californian rock band “crowe’s wings” during most of the 60’s-70’s. during this time, he hardly considers himself a writer, but he Does write, mostly poetry. he takes an interest in social commentary some time in the mid 70s after a disappointing partnership with a publishing company that only wants his band related tell-all stories. working with a better publisher, he is able to write a few books with little to no censorship of gay content, which gain him a small dose of notoriety. the 80s consist of his going to college for teaching, and eventually he becomes a tutor (and sometimes professor) at colleges, visiting lecturer at high schools, and teacher workshop guide. whew. CLOSE  FRIENDS  :    uhhhh. pending, mostly. he’s not very sociable, but loves his dogs (boris & marlene) and would consider perry his closest friend. i would say he might open up to bennie / @brawnfare so she could be a close friend too. to a degree he trusts members of the band he works for, like the manager scott halpritt or singer trevett allen. the others he’s not extremely close to, but he thinks they’re “alright”. RELATIONSHIP  STATUS  :    happily devoted to perry marchand @voirverite. FINANCIAL  STATUS  :  rickety, but he does his best. after leaving home unexpectedly at 18, he doesn’t have much money to his name and struggles financially. by ‘69-‘72, the fame from the band he works for guarantees some financial security, but most of the money he puts into savings. the band splits in ‘75, and he attempts to make money with his writing, which works here and there. he relies somewhat on perry, but insists on being financially independent if he can manage it. DRIVER’S  LICENSE :     very needed as he drives the sleeper bus for the band. CRIMINAL  RECORD    :    no idea.
SEX  AND  ROMANCE.
ROMANTIC  ORIENTATION :  homoromantic. SEXUAL  ORIENTATION  :    gay. PREFERRED  EMOTIONAL  ROLE  :   i don’t quite know what this one is supposed to mean… but woods often takes on a calm, receptive demeanour. he is the warm, comforting home you come back to after a long and arduous journey. he is validating and accepting of change and growth, and hopes that his recognition of freedom and calmness is returned to him when he is in need. i guess you could say he is a bit of a caretaker? PREFERRED  SEXUAL  ROLE :    he is most certainly a top. loves to be dominant, but doesn’t let it get out of control, and is very tender. LIBIDO    :    very high. he’s with perry, so… he’s gotta keep up.  TURN - ONS  :  teasing, coquettish behaviour, revealing outfits (he’s a bit of a voyeur). anyone who is authentic and slightly outlandish, but he’s picky. TURN - OFFS   :    narrow-minded arrogance, judgemental behaviour, performativity, sycophancy.  LOVE  LANGUAGE  :   quality time, physical affection, making someone smile/laugh. special occasional gifts that may not be expensive or fancy, but hold a specific importance or memory.   RELATIONSHIP  TENDENCIES  :   tends to belittle or doubt his own importance/needs, is often very anxious of abandonment due to unseen shortcomings/mistakes. is much too hard on himself to show up for people he cares deeply about, and often forgets who he is in the mix, which can result in misdirected resent or frustration. he works on these things over time, but it takes him till he’s 40 to really manage his anxiety and insecurity.
MISCELLANEOUS.
CHARACTER’S  THEME  SONG  :  ‘how many friends’ by the who (of course), ‘garter snake’ by macie stewart, ‘cracking’ by suzanne vega. HOBBIES  TO  PASS  TIME:  writing, sitting outside (particularly if there is a sunrise or sunset), travelling (especially to the seaside), relaxing and talking with a few good friends, having a good hot bath, reading, taking walks. MENTAL  ILLNESS(ES)   :    i’m not sure 100% on the specifics, but he’s very likely neurodivergent, with an anxiety disorder stemming from ptsd. LEFT  OR  RIGHT - BRAINED :    depends on the days - when he’s doing well and is social, he’s more right-brain creative, whereas when things are tough or he’s in a more independent state he becomes a bit more left-brain. PHOBIA(S) :      claustrophobia, trypophobia. paranoid about people telling him lies. SELF - CONFIDENCE  LEVEL :  relatively low, but in certain instances he feels at least competent in his abilities (like driving, roadie duties, football). his self confidence grows over the years, thankfully, but that doesn’t mean his insecurity issues are entirely ‘fixed’ and he still has his lapses.

tightrope (songfic)
Some people long for a life that is simple and planned
Tied with a ribbon
Some people won't sail the sea 'cause they're safer on land
To follow what's written
“Marinette, this is Dick, our son. He’s also training on trapeze, and since he’s your age, we decided to instruct you together.” Mary tells her.
Four-year-old Marinette Dupain-Cheng beams and holds out her hand. “Hello! I’m Marinette. It’s nice to meet you!”
The boy, who has dark hair and the bluest eyes she’s ever seen, takes it and smiles brightly. “I’m Dick. It’s nice to meet you too.”
That was the beginning of a long journey. Mary and John, Dick’s parents, otherwise known as the Flying Graysons, instructed them in the art of trapeze for two years before they performed in their first show at age six. Robin and Swallow soared through the air, twisting and flipping as they propelled their bodies with the bars. They received the loudest applause, second only to the Flying Graysons themselves.
But I'd follow you to the great unknown
Off to a world we call our own
Marinette and Dick spent their days flying off the bars, throwing and catching each other and playful competition. Swallow and Robin, Haly’s youngest performers, continued to greet the crowd with joyful smiles wherever they went.
Dick was her best friend. They did nearly everything together, whether it be snacking on funnel cake or seeing who could do more backflips in a row. All the performers and staff at Haly’s knew they were inseparable.
Or so they thought, anyway. All good things must come to a close.
Hand in my hand
And we promised to never let go
We're walking a tightrope
High in the sky
We can see the whole world down below
We're walking a tightrope
One day, when they were eight, her parents, who ran the catering service, received the news. Her grandfather, who owned a bakery in Paris, had died and left it to Tom. They were going to move to France to manage the bakery.
She was going to leave the circus. Marinette was going to leave the feeling of weightless flight, the joy of tumbling through the air, behind.
Marinette was going to leave Dick behind.
She didn’t want to leave. But there was nothing she could do. The bakery needed someone to take over, and that someone was her parents. At least she was fluent in French, as well as Romani.
On their last day, she and Dick clutched each other like the world was ending, which, in a way, it was. Haly’s was a travelling circus, which meant that they didn’t use phones and letters were almost impossible to send.
“Don’t forget me.” Marinette whispered, blinking away her tears. “If you’re ever in Paris, expect me to be there.”
“I will. Don’t you dare forget me either.” Dick replied, trying hard to keep his own tears at bay.
“Marinette, sweetie, it’s time to go.” Sabine said gently. Reluctantly, the two children pulled apart and said their last words to each other for another eight years.
Only when they landed in France did Marinette allow herself to cry, to mourn the loss of her first partner.
Never sure, never know how far we could fall
But it's all an adventure
That comes with a breathtaking view
Walking a tightrope with you
With you
With you
Paris was… different. After spending her entire life travelling the world, Marinette was finally rooted down in one place. And she was lonely.
Sure, she had friends, but Marinette found herself searching the people around her for a playful smile, kind blue eyes, and gleaming dark hair. She missed her best friend, missed doing flips and twists on the trapeze with him.
Her parents signed her up for gymnastics. It wasn’t the same.
At night, she would stare at the night sky from her balcony, and imagine that, wherever Dick was in the world, he was doing the same.
There was a gaping hole in Dick’s life, wherever he went. She had taken up so much of it, and now that Marinette was in France, he noticed her absence at every turn.
The first time he performed as a Flying Grayson instead of Robin, without Sparrow at his side, tears threatened to spill over his smile. It got more bearable over time, but only just. Every time he took to the skies on the trapeze, even when he saw a little girl eating funnel cake. Everything reminded him of dark blue hair and gleaming bluebell eyes, tiny freckles and a smile like the sun itself.
He found himself looking at the night sky more often than not, identifying the constellations and thinking of her.
A year later, he stood over his parents’ limp bodies and a growing pool of blood, and wished that she were there to comfort him like she always was, and not living in a bakery in Paris.
Dick donned a mask and cape and his family’s colors and became Robin again, but this time as a sidekick to Batman, helping him take down criminals and bring them to justice. He soared through the skies at night with his grappling hook, even doing a quadruple somersault off Wayne Enterprises, but it just wasn’t the same as before.
Marinette became Ladybug at thirteen.
She was suddenly thrust into a world of heroes and villains, a world of magical jewelry and evil butterflies and mini gods that granted you powers. She spent her days at school or fighting akumas, her nights on patrol incorporating extra flips in between every swing, remembering a time where another boy, with black hair instead of blonde, and blue eyes instead of green, soared alongside her.
Marinette gave Adrien his umbrella back the next day. Alya thought she had a crush on the blonde, but she couldn’t bring herself to forget Dick. If she tried to see Adrien romantically, she would just see another boy over him.
A boy she hadn’t seen in five years.
Mountains and valleys, and all that will come in between
Desert and ocean
You pulled me in and together we're lost in a dream
Always in motion
Robin formed the Young Justice along with Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, and Miss Martian when he was nearly thirteen. Half a year later, the League sends them to Paris to investigate a potential threat.
They prepared for a lot of things, but seeing a huge baby with terrible color coordination knock over the Eiffel Tower was not one of them. A girl dressed in red with black polka dots that fought with a yoyo and a boy clad in black leather with cat ears on his head were not accounted for either.
Robin noticed the way the female heroine almost flies through the air, like she’s been doing it her entire life.
Ladybug and Chat Noir were grateful for the added help during akuma attacks. Hawkmoth was caught and revealed to be Gabriel Agreste within another three months. Chat, who turned out to be his son Adrien, gave up his miraculous after that. He just wanted to live a normal life.
Robin and his teammates offered Ladybug a spot on their team, and the League approved of their choice. Ladybug accepted, and moved into Mount Justice not long after.
Ladybug was surprised the first time the Young Justice showed up to an attack, but she easily worked them into her plan and captured the akuma. They offered their resources and skills to fight the akumas faster and track down Hawkmoth. Gabriel Agreste was arrested not long after, and Adrien no longer wanted to be a hero after that, which was understandable.
Master Fu transferred Guardianship to her following Hawkmoth’s defeat and Young Justice, backed by the Justice League, offered her a spot on their team. Ladybug agreed, as she was now the Guardian and not escaping the hero's life anytime soon, nor was she willing to leave it.
Marinette told her parents about Ladybug, and gained their approval to move into Mount Justice. To her classmates in Paris, she told them she was going to America to study.
Ladybug rotated through various miraculouses throughout the day to keep her identity hidden, for the time being. She still wasn’t comfortable with so many people knowing, even after telling her parents. Luckily, Robin was the same. From what she gathered, only Kid Flash knew his identity.
She tried hard to ignore the pang in her heart every time she saw the dark-haired, cheerful boy, dressed in the Flying Graysons’ colors with her partner’s name. Because there was no way that this Robin was Dick.
Dick, as far as she knew, was still in Haly’s with his parents. Not dividing his time between Gotham City and Mount Justice. Not being a partner to the rest of the Young Justice team and the sidekick to the Dark Knight, whom he called his father.
So I risk it all just to be with you
And I risk it all for this life we choose
Ladybug proved herself useful to the team, calling up her Lucky Charm in the stickiest solutions and always finding a way out. She was clever and quick to think on her feet in battle, choosing to outwit her opponents instead of beating them through brute force. When it was needed, she would merge with another miraculous or use a completely different form, whatever was necessary for them to win. The Tiger miraculous proved extremely useful for covert op missions.
She also constantly baked treats for everyone. Ladybug taught M’gann how to actually bake a good cake, and would give them pastries when they looked like they needed to be cheered up.
They also discovered that being the Guardian came with new powers. Robin received a fairly deep cut on his right arm from a mission, but Ladybug stopped him from stitching it up, instead muttering an incantation in an unrecognizable language. Her fingers glowed white, and she traced them over the wound, closing it instantly, not even leaving a scar behind.
When Marinette wasn’t baking for her teammates or designing, she found herself heading to the training room. The room had a wide variety of resources, including trapeze equipment. She walks into the room in her Multimouse transformation, as to give Tikki a break, and freezes in place.
Robin is swinging on the trapeze, sailing through the air with a carefree smile on his face and doing a quadruple somersault- the Flying Graysons’ signature move- like it was second nature. He moves with an elegance that she has only ever seen in one other person, and all of a sudden, the name, the colors, the familiar energy, everything makes sense.
Multimouse warms up as fast as she can, and climbs up the rungs to the platform opposite him with a grin. She recognizes the routine, the one they used to do back in the day as Robin and Sparrow at Haly’s. Without missing a beat, she launches herself onto the bar, seamlessly picking up where he was and weaving herself in.
When the time comes for her to let go and for him to catch her, she gives him a trusting smile and releases her hold, soaring, flying forward, right into his hands, which clasp around her wrists in an achingly familiar way. I’ve found you at last.
Robin- Dick- grins at her, and Multimouse smiles back, as wide as she can, because she’s finally found him again, after so many years apart.
Hand in my hand
And you promised to never let go
We're walking a tightrope
High in the sky
We can see the whole world down below
We're walking a tightrope
When Robin has a bit of free time at Mount Justice, he finds himself climbing the rungs to the trapeze platform and immersing himself in the old routine he used to do with her. The lively dance they used to do in the air is still cheerful, but without a partner, it’s more melancholy than he’d like to admit.
He notices Multimouse walk in and freeze when she sees him. This was the first time she’d seen him on trapeze, so Robin assumes it’s just the shock. He lets go of the bar and easily turns a quadruple somersault with an exhilarated smile on his face before grabbing the bar again.
Multimouse climbs up to the opposite platform with a smile, and easily falls into the routine alongside him. She does Sparrow’s flips and twists with the grace of a person born to fly and an overjoyed smile on her face.
For a while, Robin swings through the air with his first friend and first partner. When the time comes, Multimouse- Marinette- easily lets go of her bar and soars towards him, a trusting smile on her face, and he grins brilliantly back, hands clasping her wrists tight. I’ve found you at last. The message resonates between them, and he launches her back into the air towards her own bar, laughing as she flips twice before grabbing it.
They are so immersed in their aerial dance, so immersed in each other, that they don’t see the rest of the team enter to watch the two birds fly.
Marinette’s eyes shine with laughter and joy as she takes in the sight of the one she wished she could share the entire world with. Dick’s smile could melt ice with its brilliance as he sees the person he’s missed every single day for six years.
When they both land on the floor as the routine ends, Dick immediately pulls her into a hug, squeezing her as tight as he can. She returns it with just as much, if not more, strength.
“Mari.” He whispers. “It’s you. I found you again.”
“Dick. Robin, mon oiseau. I’ve missed you so much.” Marinette replies, a single happy tear slipping down her cheek.
In the heat of the moment, she makes an impulsive decision and yanks him down by his cape and presses her lips to his. Dick eagerly returns the kiss, and soon, they’re clutching each other like the world is ending (though it was quite the opposite) and their lips firmly glued together, sending bursts of warmth through them.
Wally clears his throat, and they spring apart, only just noticing the other people in the room. “What exactly happened? You guys were doing this super cool trapeze thing like you’ve been practicing it together for years, then you’re saying stuff about ‘finding each other’ and making out like your life depends on it?”
Multimouse and Robin turn bright red, but their smiles stay on their faces. “Well, uh, how do I explain this?” Multimouse turns to Robin, who gives her a thumbs up. “Basically, today was asterous, as Robin would say. As it turns out, our civilian identities were childhood friends and grew up performing in the circus together. I had to move to France when I was eight and we lost contact after that. I was going to train in the gym when I saw Robin doing our old routine, and then everything just sort of clicked and I realized it was him.”
Robin chuckles, wrapping an arm around her waist. “That just about sums it up. I knew it was her when Mouse just seamlessly joined the routine. Although I was suspicious after that last mission. Nobody pulls off a flyaway like Sparrow.”
Multimouse lightly punched his shoulder. “Says the one who does a quadruple somersault as easily as he breathes.” They leaned in for a second kiss, smiling, and the team took that as their cue to leave them be.
Never sure. Will you catch me if I should fall?
Well, it's all an adventure
That comes with a breathtaking view
Marinette, detransformed for once with one of Dick’s domino masks over her face, sits on top of Mount Justice with her partner by her side, enjoying the night sky from their location.
She leans into him, and Dick pulls her in close, huddled under a blanket as they watch the stars glimmer over Happy Harbor.
“You know,” Marinette says quietly, “I used to look at the sky every night in Paris and hope that you were seeing the same stars that I was.”
Dick laughs, such a beautiful sound, blue eyes sparkling. “Really? I used to look at the night sky and think of you too, lubirea mia. It’s so interesting, how things work out.”
“One could say it was… whelming? Did I use that right?” Marinette reaches up and pushes a stray lock of midnight hair out of his face.
Her boyfriend simply chuckles and pulls her in for a kiss as the sun slowly makes the horizon burst with color, shedding its light on a beautiful world.
Walking a tightrope with you
